About Lake Manyara National Park

Only 330 km² with two thirds covered by the lake itself, Manyara packs remarkable habitat diversity into a short drive: groundwater forest, acacia woodland, open floodplain and hot springs, all pressed against the 600 m Rift Valley wall. It is the ideal warm-up day before Ngorongoro and Serengeti, and the canopy walkway is one of the few in East Africa.
